In this year of COVID-19, we're all staying close to home and adjusting our lives and schedules to the new reality. As I finish up the school year, moved online in March, I'm also in the throes of selling my home and finding a new one.
Like many writers, I'm finding it difficult at times to concentrate on the work at hand, but I have begun writing a sequel for To the Bones. The working title is Dead Hand, and it moves the tale of Darrick, Lourana, and the last of the Kavanagh clan from West Virginia to Ireland as they all seek answers and absolution.
I've also had some very good news with the acceptance of a novel by Fitzroy Books, an imprint of Regal House Publishing. Backwater has been in the works and in revisions for some years. A YA/NA mystery/thriller, it's set at a small marina on a North Carolina lake and draws inspiration from my years sailing on Lake Kerr.
